Waco, Texas will always hold a special place in my heart. It’s a quiet city located in the central part of Texas with very little hustle and bustle. Waco is the home of Baylor University, and it just so happens to also be the birthplace of my union with Thomas #hubby in 2017.

In April of 2019, we decided to take a trip back to this sweet city that we have both come to really miss, and it was an enjoyable time reminiscing on our time engaged and married in such a unique and peaceful place. Our first stop of the day was Magnolia Table, operated by the famous Chip and Joanna Gaines of HGTV’s hit show, Fixer Upper.

The wait, as reported, is usually over an hour with people coming from all over the world just to get in on the food, decor, and experience. Our wait was around 45 minutes, but we were able to walk around into the adjacent store and check out cute branded items available for purchase; a GENIUS stream of revenue in addition to the restaurant itself if you ask me!

After roughly 35 minutes passed, we were seated. I ordered coffee which was stronger than my usual but I enjoyed it. The service was exceptional and the food came out quickly and piping hot.

I ordered the farm breakfast, which came with bacon, LOTS of eggs, a biscuit and their tater tots that resembled hush puppies (realllllllyyyyy good!) Thomas stuck with french toast (one of his favorite breakfast items) which came with eggs, tater tots, sausage/bacon and strawberry butter. I asked for a side of the strawberry butter for my biscuit (because it looked SOOOO good) and thoroughly enjoyed it!

When it was time to pay, we were handed the cutest little leather folded case with the receipt contained inside and two toffee candies for the road.

One of the biggest draws of everything Joanna Gaines touches is her attention to detail. The entire restaurant was decorated with great thoughtfulness and cohesion. Nothing in the entire establishment was unplanned or half-done.

Thomas and I continued our adventures for the day but we keep talking about how much fun we had visiting the restaurant and how stuffed we were for the rest of the day!

We plan to return soon, and I fully intend to enjoy more delicious selections from their menu.
